Adam & Eve were placed in the garden (to keep it). The Garden of Eden is symbolical lanuguage for "the way it ought to be" a paradise. God and the angels reside in Heaven. The planets and constellations are in another heaven. The birds of the air fly in another heaven. Man walks on heaven. Some say there are seven levels of heaven? Basically what I'm trying to say is that heaven is a generic term used in many different contexts.

this is a great question. Thank-you for asking it.
In my beliefs I believe in what my church calls the pre-existance and in this pre-earth life God created all things. we were his spirit children before we came to earth. in this sense we know that Adam and Eve were Created in Heaven if you will. We also know that God built for Adam and Eve a Garden where he then created a body of flesh and bone for Adam. He was allowed to name everything including Eve whom he named Eve because she was the mother of all living (Pearl of Great Price, Bible)
When Adam was placed in the Garden of Eden, he was privileged to have a tangible, physical body of flesh and bone. “And the Gods planted a garden, eastward in Eden, and there they put the man, whose spirit they had put into the body which they had formed”
God did dwell with them in Eden and so you could say that it was a Heaven on Earth. I think that if any Christian told you that then they haven't read their bible very well.
Keep thinking about God and the Truth of His Gospel will find you. May God Bless you in your search for the Truth.

The Garden of Eden was actually in Earth. It was like heaven because they share the presence of God and it was without sin, death and any evil thing... until the events of Genesis 3.

The story is Adam and Eve is an example of "Myth" in the Bible. The story is there to teach us a religious truth. There was no Garden of Eden.

To believe in the Bible as the inspired word of God,means you believe all of it.Eden,as described in Genises, was a literal garden on earth, where Adam and Eve were placed.
It was not heaven. Heaven is totally beyond our comprehension. I pray that you will come to believe in Jesus, that He loved us and died for us,so that all who will accept Him will join Him in Heaven. May God bless you.

Its a story and should remain so...there was no Adam and Eve. We evolved from a small population of about 10,000 'modern' humans around 170,000 years ago. There are real answers in science, those who wish to be ignorant of the real world look to the bible for answers.

Christendom is confused as always. The first pair was NOT created in heaven and later put on earth. Please read the Genesis account at chapter 1:26 and onward.
Man was created from the dirt of the ground.....I don't remeber reading anything in my Bible about "dirt" in heaven.
