my doc put me on both of these meds 2 weeks ago. He told me to call him in 2 weeks (now) if they weren't working. I have read (and I actually used to be a pharmacy tech.) that these types of meds take 4 weeks to get in your system. I guess my question is, I'm not feeling any better, the depression is still here. Should I give it another 2 weeks to get in my system or call him now? Thanks.

Call him now. In addition to checking if the medications are effective, your doctor is also checking to see there are no adverse effects.
Sometimes when we know too much it hinders us. Do what your doctor says and don't try to second guess him.

yes it can sometimes take 4-6 weeks for most meds to get into your system, you should have started to notice some sort of difference but, your doctor may also want to monitor your progress, over the next while. It would be wise to phone him and discuss if it is worth waiting 2 more weeks Best wishes

It's really up to you. If you have enough of the medicine, keep taking it for another week or so. Just make sure you have enough, you don't want to run out and not have any to take. That could go bad.

It takes a minimum of a month to feel any effect, and closer to 3 months for full effect. It takes that long because it takes a long time for the neurons to downregulate.

I would call him to at least give the update, tell him what the pharmacist said, and tell him how you are feeling. Good luck

keep taking them, it took me a good 8 weeks for mine to work. good luck, they will work
