Spirituality is the banana - Religion is the peel!

I think spirituality and religion are different things. Religion is doing something within a certain set of beliefs, while Spirituality is ones connection or lack thereof with a supreme being(s)

I definitely think these are two unique and separate things.
For me, the difference, as succinctly as I can put it, is as follows:

Religion is an organized series of beliefs and dogma, ascribed to a group of individuals. All your moral/metaphysical questions are already answered for you by 'experts.'

Spirituality is your own personal system of moral/metaphysical beliefs. These may or may not fall within the category of one specific religion, therefore it is possible to be religious & spiritual at the same time.

Good luck !

Religion and spirituality are mutually exclusive. Religion does not have to be the cornerstone of a persons spiritual nature. Spirituality can come from other areas - nature, music, art, etc.. The two only overlap when a person wishes them too.

Spirituality acknowledges that individual connection with the divine is possible. Religion acknowledges that individual connection with the divine is possible, but their doctrines and books take precedence over anyone receiving individual guidance from the divine.

I think religion is what you get when you force the eternal, individual spiritual experience through a temporal, communal language.

In my mind, religion is to follow a certain practice. To be spiritual is not so defined but more a knowing that something is out there. But they can be intertwined too.
