I despise gift cards. They lack originality or thought. I don't give them, and I actually had to tell my sister, "If you tell me you want a gift card one more time I'm not buying you anything."

Amen Lucky S- Christmas is all about sharing the gift of Christ- not about a material gift- Gift cards are great ideas, I think though. When I get a gift card, it shows me that the other people cares about what I would like to receive, instead of buying me something I might never use. However once again, if I received no gift this Christmas , it would be ok with me, because I have the greatest gift of all- Salvation through Christ

I'd much rather get a gift card than another hideous sweater. Seriously if any of my family is reading this...PLEASE return the crap you got for me and just give me the money. If you feel like you HAVE to get me something then a gift card will do.

Santa is the one thing that destroys Christmas. Christmas has become a game of greed rather than a religious occasion celebrated at home and church.

Not for me. This is the day I celebrate Christ, and the material gifts aren't important. So gift card away. Even without gifts, it will still be a time for me to celebrate Jesus.
