My definition of "the meaning of life" is as follows:

"The meaning of life" is a phrase used to describe the assumption that the mere fact of existence must have some significance. It is also the title of a very amusing film.

Be a productive member of society...meaning do a job that's beneficial to society. Have a good balance between work and play. If you see any changes that need to be made in the world, pick a cause close to heart and work to fix it. I guess the ultimate goal is to leave the world a better place then what it was before you entered it.

sorry there is no meaning to life, no paragraph here, its beyond me why people think there should be a meaning to life, now we humans have desires that we try to fufill during our lives if that is what you consider meaning for living, and i enjoy certain things and dislike others, but as for a reason to live, there really is none, had i had the choice to never be born, i would be indifferent on that, the concept of nonexistence bewilders people, i guess just because the only thing we know is conciousness

What is your definition of the meaning of "WOOD" ?

Get it? Everything doesn't have a meaning. Words have meaning. Concepts have meanings. Humans create meaning for words and concepts, not things. Life is a thing that exists in the real world. It has no more meaning in and of itself than clouds or salt deposits. Get it?

Realising that you have this one chance only and making the best of it. If the truth strikes you in the process, i.e. that there is no God - even better! (but not necessarily) But basically it's about realising that it's your conscience you have to live with and that you don't have to answer to anyone. After all, you're the one who lives with the choices you make. Life is about leaving a legacy, be it to your kids, your friends, family ... I want to be remembered as a woman who lived her life to its fullest, I want my child to think of me as someone who wasn't afraid to cross the lines of the ''stable society,'' who had the guts to say ''no'' to the mainstream. I want him to think of me as a good person. Life is about love. We don't have much time, seize the moment, go with the flow and listen to that inner voice.

Cheers! :)

I am Roman Catholic, and I believe the meaning of life is to live a self-sacraficed life to help others in order to get to heaven.

Usually if it moves on its own, such as a dog, cat, or human being, it's alive. If it doesn't move, it may be, like a rock, dead.

Simplest form may be something like an amoeba.
Most complicated form may be a human being like Shakespeare, John Bunyan, or Albert Einstein.

Life just is. It has no intrinsic, or built in meaning of it's own.

All the meaning that life will ever have is the meaning that you give to it.

Looks like its up to you.

Love and blessings Don
