Because we are told it dries out, but I put bread in the fridge in a freezer bag. Seems to keep ok.

Who said they don't keep it in the fridge? It depends on the temperatures, humidity, time of year, etc. I don't go through bread quickly, so I keep it in the fridge... or in the freezer to keep it fresh. Slices come apart easily when frozen. In warmer & more humid climates (summer months in many areas), bread would be growing mold in a few days if not refrigerated or frozen.

I keep my bread in the fridge!
I buy bread that is wheat free, normally rye bread and its only me that eats it, so I keep it in an air tight container in the fridge.
I guess people don't like it 'cause cold bread doesn't taste to good, but I always toast it :-)

I pretty much have to due to the fact, my bread molds within days of buying it. I just make toast for the most part.

I do. It keeps longer, if you make sure the air is out of the wrapper. I put a piece or two in the micrwave just for a few seconds to warm.

My mom never did it, so I just never did it either. It wasn't until I was older that I realized that other people did that. And even though I know now, I still don't do it just because it's not a habit that I've formed! I think alot of things like this all depend on how your parents did it.

My mom does that, but at my house I don't. I'd rather have the bread warm and fresh rather than cold. It's just not the same to me.
