Some of us will pray for your grandpa. Hopefully, you will not get discouraged by all of the conflicting, sarcastic, and meaningless messages you will read regarding your request.

This is not necessarily a praying group of people.

I will pray for your Grandpa right now.

It is hard when our loved ones get to the end of their lives.

87 is a nice long life.I hope he is kept comfortable .

You can pray asking that you have the strength to handle whatever happens.

You are in my thoughts

Dear Father,

May an intense light of love and healing immerse this grandfather from head to toes. May it fill him with comfort, peace, serenity, and joy. With full assurance of Your Presence as angels swoop down and assist him on his journey. May healing light swirl around all whose lives he has touched forever.

In Your Name,
Amen.

Whatever you do, don't tell him others are praying. Research has demonstrated that people who know others are praying for them suffer more complications than those who think something else.

"Prayers offered by strangers had no effect on the recovery of people who were undergoing heart surgery, a large and long-awaited study has found.

And patients who knew they were being prayed for had a higher rate of post-operative complications like abnormal heart rhythms, perhaps because of the expectations the prayers created, the researchers suggested. "
