When I click on Registry using the above I get a long list of unused files titled dbr app cue sfv and so on. Would it be safe can anybody tell me to remove them with the tag that says "fix problem". All the files have a Green tick beside them.
Also when I click Start Up I get a long list of obsolete files, can I remove these safely. Thanks for any info

Yes, it is perfectly safe. It also gives you the option to backup the changes to your registry.

Yes Ccleaner is the best file cleaning program and perfectly safe to delete unused file extensions app sfv etc.I would recommend using the default settings do not check anything in advanced mode, the only thing i would change is options>settings ,change from 1 pass to '3 passes secure delete.'

Yes that's the point of CCleaner it gets rid of all the trash and gets your registry back in order / defaults so to speak. It's just deleting all temporary files let it fix the problem.

Cheers.

I strongly advise against changing the registry, the best thing to do is to purchase a registry cleaner, and run it once a week, this will keep your PC cleaner, faster and more efficient.

when you run the cleaner make sure you save the files so if you should have a problem you can restore them,, it should first ask you if you want to save the files and just tell it yes,, I have always sent them to my documents,,

Create a system restore point before you clean the registry; better still, use ERUNT - free here
