According to the Christian faith Yahweh, or Jesus, is a personal god. In other words, people who accept the word of Christ and allow him into their hearts can have a one-on-one relationship with god. They can communicate directly with Jesus.

If god is omniscient and Christians can chat with him then why don’t they just ask god their questions?

Why do Christians even need to use Yahoo Answers?

A number of you have responded by asking why I, since I am not religious, am here.

Besides missing the point of the question altogether, this is tantamount to saying that, for example, only scientists can ask questions regarding science.

Now who looks silly?

well, last things first, You are the one who looks silly. No person is perfect, but you think just because we are Christians (all of a sudden) we are. Thank you for that vote of confidence.

Jesus will/does communicate directly with us. He sent his Holy Spirit to be with us every moment. We need it. We are not perfect.

Do you think the questions in this forum are all being asked by believing, saved Christians? I'd think they are being asked by those who are still trying to grasp the whole concept of Jesus, and are not yet true believers. How do you know if they have or have not asked Jesus? Maybe they need others to help them figure things out for themselves before committing themselves. Dear one, people like you try to make our belief sound like nonsense, and tend to end up confusing the new believer.

My question to you is...why are you so spiteful towards those whom you don't even understand?

If you were given a special gift that filled your heart to overflowing wouldn't you want to share that gift with another?
Why does the man in a hurry let the mother in the mini van get in front of him on the crowded street? This man knows that if he does good to one then others will follow. Call this Karma or being a good Christian it matters not.
When a Christian takes upon him or herself the name of Christ they have a change that happens deep inside. they feel so good that they want to share that message with the world.
Yes, we can have a personal relationship with God but from the beginning of time we have been told that we are our brothers keeper and we should help God bring his children home.

Other believers help us. God uses others to speak to us.
I am here to learn what other Christians believe and what those of other faiths believe. I have also learned more about atheists from coming here.

I have defended atheists' right to be here. Now YOU presume to tell me that I don't belong because I am a Christian?
How rude!

Why are atheists here? They are not religious, are they?

Same difference...
Christianity is a RELIGION.
This is the RELIGION site......as well as spiritual. We have every right to be here, just as you do.

Agreed?

To Captain Bunk: One does not write "grammar." One writes using correct grammar. You're not so perfect yourself, dude. I've seen numerous atheists make grammatical errors, Spelling errors, syntax errors, etc.

I find that many times God leaves small choices up to the individual and sometimes it's hard to hear what he has to say. You can't talk to him and
not always automatically hear what he says; there is a lot to distract from his still small voice, like your own thoughts for example. Hearing from other wise people in the Lord may help clarify what he's telling you. Mostly I get on here to meet other people and see what they believe and why.

Well for one we don't ask questions to God on Yahoo answers.. or pray as you would have it. We ask questions to understand God and help others understand Him. We have a give /take relationship here on R & S. If somebody asks a question I will give them an answer to the best of my own knowledge and they will learn something new from what is said. Christians are not here to pray to God we do that in our alone time..we are here to enlighten , learn and debate in the most respectful way. And I can say I have learned alot of what I have not known before here at R & S.

Just one small way to communicate with other people and see the differences in the way each person thinks. I simply find it interesting and give answers about the kind of person I am. I don't judge anyone with how they believe. I believe in God and I pray for guidance, direction, and understanding of what He is trying to tell me or show me. I'm too stupid to always listen and see but I know He is doing His part. I also feel God loves me just the way I am. He knows what is in my heart and He knows that everyday I try to better myself to know Him.

People don't always trust God's plan. They want a second opinion. God can also communicate through the words of others and sometimes that's how his message is sent.

We (or at least I do) use Yahoo Answers because we/I want to bring people to Christ. The answer is as simple as that, but actually trying isn't, but I'm willing to do anything and everything for my Jesus.

To answer on-Christians' questions about why we believe what we do. And many times, to stand up for God/Jesus and/or Christianity when someone bashes, mocks, insults, etc.

As Christians, it is our privilege(and our duty to God) to spread the Word of God to those who need it... "Many are called but few chosen"... We are disciples to bring the non-believers to Jesus, as only through Him can they enter Heaven.. God Bless You and keep the questions comming...They are comming from God..You just have to listen!
