My girl might call from work, say hi, then we can be silent for like 10 minutes humming beats and stuff. I can say "I guess Ill talk to you later!" she wont let me hang up, she'll find something to talk about.
So we wind up silent for an hour. As men, we call, say what we have to say, then we gone.

Well, my boyfriend has gotten quite use to this.
The thing is, girls like to feel like they have all of your attention even if you guys say nothing at all. Plus, there are a million different things we would like to tell you and it makes it easier if you are just sitting on the phone when it pops in our head.
Don't get too antsy to get off the phone when you are talking (or not so much talking) to her on the phone..she just wants to know you are there...

You're not alone...I'm a girl and I used to have a b/f a couple of years ago that loved to talk on the phone. Problem is, I hate talking on the phone and unless I have something specific to say, I just won't call. lol I don't mind just chatting in person, but the phone is a different thing.

I'm not one of those girls. I HATE the phone. If there is really someone (like one of my good friends) that I haven't spoken to in a while, we will talk for a good while. But usually, I cringe when the phone rings. I always screen calls. Men like it blunt and to the point. That's the only way a woman can communicate with one.

Awwww! She so likes you, even after however you all have been together! Value that! While I understand that she wants to hear from you in the middle of the day, an extensive convo seems a bit extra! Talk about it with her, be gentle but let her know this needs to change

lol, I find this really funny. lol.
It's just a woman thing. But I have to admit that I don't hold my bf on the phone if things get too silent. Usually we have a lot to talk about and we get off the phone when we get hungry. lol.
Also, believe it or not, he calls me and always ask why I don't call him. lol.

Sounds to me like she is bored out of her mind and is trying to keep you on the phone for that reason. Maybe she just feels closer to you by you being on the line even if you don't say anything.
I don't do that though but i'm not a phone person.

I don't know. I am a woman and I really can't stand the phone. I don't like to talk on it for long either, especially when there are silent moments like that.

Women as a whole are relational beings :) We like to have the open wave of communication even if nothing is being said...there is still the opportunity and something comforting by having you on the line (my hubby and I have frequent similar situation)

She misses you my guy calls me daily in the morninig we talk for about 45 min on our way to work then he calls after work on his way home that is another 45-60min then when we get home for anohter 60min i love it it makes me feel special when he calls and wants to hear me breath over the phone but we ususally don't have a lack of stuff to talk about either
