The Bible is to be Taken.... LITERALLY!

And YES... it is Holy.... as God is Holy!

I think it should be called "The Holy, Absolutely True except the fanciful bits, Wise except where foolish, Serious except where Silly, don't mind all the contradictions because if you were as smart as god you'd be able to sort them out--but if its meant to be understood by man why can't man understand it properly? and what about women?--that's another one you aren't smart enough for, and man is short for mankind, Bible."

Why wouldn't you take it literally? Actually, many of the books are historical and should be taken literally. However, many are also poetic and should be taken figuratively. It depends on what book you're reading.
