Simple answer would be found in Deuteronomy 14:2 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God, and the LORD hath chosen thee to be a peculiar people unto himself, above all the nations that are upon the earth.

Deut 7:6 For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth.

A more in depth answer would be because God made a Covenant with Abraham. But this needs to be explained and thus we have provided many Scriptures which explain.

God chose the Jews, (the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob) to bring redemption to the world through Jesus Christ, the Savior. God made a Covenant with Abraham which establishes this very fact. God chose the Jews to be a people separated unto God. Through the Jews, God revealed Himself to mankind. The Jews were a people through whom the salvation (Messiah) would come to the whole world.

Through Abraham, God established for Himself a people who would worship the One True and Living God in the midst of universal polytheism. The Jews were to be a witness and a light for Him in the earth. God performed many wonderful miracles in their midst. The whole world heard about the Jews and were afraid of "their God." God not only enabled them to win battle after battle over their enemies but the LORD fought the battles for them. Unfortunately, time and time again, they turned to other gods and worshipped idols and forgot the Lord of Heaven and by their disobedience came warnings of judgment and then after
time, the judgment ... but God did not forget His covenant made with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

God was still faithful to His people and would forgive those who came back to Him. He sent prophets to the Israelites warning them of impending judgment. It was only in the midst of tribulation and adversity that they remembered the LORD. When their enemies were storming down the gates, then they remembered the LORD. God always keeps His promises and thus the Jewish people remain a testimony on this earth of God's mercy and kindness and that God keeps His Covenants. No other group of people has been so persecuted, so dispersed to the far corners of the globe and yet remain so true to their heritage. The fact that Israel even exists at all is a testimony to God's faithfulness to the Jewish people. (So many other peoples and nations have come and gone.) The Lord promised that He would regather His people, the Jews, in the Last Days and that Israel will never be conquered again and will remain forever. The Jewish people will remain in that land forever.

Unfortunately, Israel has not yet recognized her Messiah and the Old Testament as well as the New Testament speaks of a time called "Jacob's Trouble" or Daniel's 70th Week or as some have said "The Great Tribulation" which will be a terrible time for Israel but in the end, the Jewish people will cry out to the LORD and He will rescue them. Jesus (with His nail prints in His hands and feet)...the Messiah that they rejected 2000 years ago will come to save Israel in that day which the Bible calls "the Day of the Lord." Jesus is Jewish and someday He will avenge Israel of ALL her enemies and Jesus the Messiah will rule and reign from Jerusalem.

God desires all men to be saved and as such is not a respector of persons. He has a plan to complete and He has special duties for certain portions of His creation, including the Jewish people.

The potter can choose as He wishes what to make of His clay.

Hope that helps.

The verse concerning this (Acts 10:34), concerns salvation. That God's salvation does not depend on your family, your nation of origin, your tribe, your position or any other external things. God did choose the Hebrews to be His chosen people. This is also true in this area as well, since there was nothing about them to recommend them to God nor would give God a reason to choose them. It was totally out of grace, mercy and love that He chose them, not because of anything they did or their state. A further explanation of this passage follows:

(1)"And said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons;
which is to be understood, not of the substances of men, but of the outward state and condition, circumstances and qualities of men; he respects the proper persons of men themselves, but not because of their outward appearances; he does not prefer or despise men, because of their being of this or the other nation, as Jews or Gentiles; or because they are circumcised, or not circumcised; or because they are high or low, rich or poor, free or bound, or the like: the true sense here is, that God valued no man the more, because he was a Jew and circumcised, nor anyone the less, because he was a Gentile and uncircumcised; and this the apostle found to be a most certain truth, of which he was fully persuaded; partly by the vision which he himself saw, and partly by that which Cornelius had, and which the more confirmed him in this matter: these words do not at all militate against the doctrines of personal election and reprobation; and indeed, those acts in God, are not according to the outward state and condition of men, or any circumstances that attend them, or any qualities they have, internal or external; but entirely proceed from the sovereign will of God;"

i think of you're definitely nicely suited on your techniques. i comprehend a number of of gay people who're Christians. The final time I checked, the only requirement featuring being a Christian is believing in Jesus' existence, loss of existence and resurrection. And gays can do this like every person else. you're smart and you're able to save your inclusive international view. There are too a lot of human beings obtainable who blindly hate and condemn human beings, extremely gays, for no longer something greater suitable than dogmatic reasons or lack of awareness or the two. for my area, you're enlightened! i do no longer understand for specific what's offensive to God precisely, and that i won't be in a position to forged stones at gay human beings while i'm the worst sinner interior the international! Take care!

God is no respecter of person based upon race, wealth, sex, education etc. He chose not the Jewish people, but Abraham and his children, for the simple fact that Abraham had faith. When most everyone else was worshiping rocks, and sticks, Abraham knew there was a living God.

the reason being, Is because Israel was Gods first born, and they were the only country that believed in Him., Sop Gods Promise was to tell all of is real of him, then then the world, when Jesus came Jesus told his disciples to now spread the good news to the world and the disciples started that, Also Saul of tarsus was not a believer in Jesus and killed many Christians and Jesus struck him and then told him to bring the good news to the gentiles which all of the world were gentiles but Israel believed in that one God. that is why Isreal was so hated. If you read the bible God says why he chose them, I know part of the verse says I have not chose you because you are more righteous then the others. He chose them because he made a promise to abraham.

Abraham loved and feared GOD. The chosen people were to bring GOD the world, but they did not share Abraham's love of GOD.

Better yet, if their God is the one and only, why did he choose them, a small group in a rugged and isolated part of the world, to be his chosen people? I think they chose one of a plethora of gods that were available and decided to call him the one and only and say that he chose them as his favorite.
