THeres is still not much known about the human brain,
It is said that you do not develop anymore brain cells, but now studies are showing different.

a landmark study in late 1998 by researchers from Sweden and the Salk Institute in La Jolla, California, showed for the first time that some brain cells in mature humans may regenerate under certain circumstances

University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill scientists have reported - for the first time - a burst in new brain cell development during abstinence from chronic alcohol consumption.

The #1 way to keep your brain helathy is to eat TONS AND TONS of Omega-3 Fatty Acids.

Fish, suppliments, flax.

The second best way to get new one's and keep the old one's helathy is to THINK THINK THINK THINK THINK!

Learn a new skill...
Take a new rout home from work...
Get that game "Brain Age"...
Knit...
Read...
Play Cards...

ANYTHING you do as a hobby or that is "New" or "Different" causes new cells to grow and better connections to form between the neurons!

Just keep mentally and physically active and your brain will be fine!

Not only is it impossible to create new brain cells, it is unnecessary. As human beings we only utilize 10% of our brain's capacity. However, it is possible to use MORE brain cell, as it is to use LESS. By drinking and doing drugs brain cells are killed, but by doin activities such as reading and puzzles (Sodoku, anyone???) more cells are utilized.

The only way is being younger than 2 years old and having stimuli of various kinds (music, shapes, etc)

If you do that when you are older, you only get more connections between neurones but no more cells.

You can't create more brain cells BUT you can create more synapses or connections to accommodate more knowledge, memory, etc.

Try doing logic problems, brainteasers, crossword puzzles, soduku, etc. They will keep your brain sharp,
