My response: I am not sure of who will reimburse me for having to take public transportation because my vehicle was not drivable after the accident.

On July 6, I spent $24.00 to drop my daughter off at school, pick up, and to and from my job.

Then I purchased a 7 day pass for $20.00 for the next 5 weeks totaling $100.00, $20.00 for a 7 day pass for my daughter for her last week of school during the week of July 6 to Jul 13.

The total was $144.00 not including the $100.00 deposit that I had to put down to get the rental car which they deducted $35.13 for taxes.

Thank you

Agent Response: I wanted to advise you that we will instruct our insured to issue a second and final payment for damages/expenses related to this loss but must request that you come in to our office prior to doing so and sign the Release form that we had previously prepared.
Please contact our office to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you.
Thank you,

I know she just wanted me to come in and sign the release forms because the company paid for the damages before I signed the papers.

But I just want to let her know that it was not about the money it was the principle of her giving false information. But what are you to expect from insurance/claims adjuster, she did what she had to do to save her job.

The claims rep misreprsented the facts. I was going to sign the papers because they had already paid for my damages and rental. But because it took them so long and the company that was issuing the check took the check directly to the body shop with no problem in August. I wrote the email in October and her response was yes they will cover your transportation coverages. But once I signed the papers its a different story.

I thanked her and told her to have a great holiday. But I let her know that I knew what she was doing, and honesty is the best policy, and every client is different.

If she would have just came out and told me her job was on the line because the damages were paid for before I signed the papers, I would have just signed the papers.

My point to her is dont be dishonest because it will come back to you in the long run.

I am going to forward the emails to her supervisor to let them know that she misrepresented their company.

Thanks for your input.

Sounds to me like she just wanted you to come in and sign the release papers before giving you the final check.

yes it does sound like a check will be issued for expenses. Not sure if they'll pay the full amount, but........ red tape is a pain in the fanny. Who misrepresented facts and would that have helped or hurt your claim?
