Kind of, I have been many things including a studier of the occult. Why did I gain a higher respect for the Bible? I spent time with the Jehovah Witnesses. I began to listen to them, and also to do studying in the areas of Greek and Hebrew. I made up my own mind on things, and felt that because they seem to be the closest thing to real first Century Christians I would be a Witness. But I never forget that it is God I serve not a specific organization – so I will stay with them if they continue to grow in Knowledge and such – and keep from mixing Christianity with nationalism or non-Christian religious material.
The Bible gives firm evidence though that his organization will continue to do this – so I have faith. But I never claim to be infallible – nor do the Witnesses.

God brings fourth information like a light getting brighter and brighter.

Yes, I was an atheist, then I read the Bible. There was a lot to it took about 2weeks of study and research but in the end I found that not only was atheism completely nuts, but that I was a mighty sinner before the Lord in desperate need of His forgiveness.

Partly it was realising the self-contradictory nonsense aspect of the religion (and indeed most religions), partly it was because I don't think I could stand to be associated, even distantly, with some of the things some Christians believe. I would, in all seriousness, rather burn in hell than spend eternity with some of them.

Interesting...........

takers?

I think it will be hard for you to find people that reasoned themselves to Atheism who have then converted, they are a very rare breed.

Its funny, I was a Christian then read the bible.

opposite actually

always a skeptic.....but now an atheist skeptic..

if your god is omnipotent and omniscient, he knows what it would take to convert me, and he could do it (easier than picking up an infant and saying "hi")

so either he chooses not to, and doesn't want me as a follower, or he doesn't exist, take your pick...
