I don't buy sandwiches as a rule but I work in a garage and I have often wondered why we never get pork or lamb sandwiches. Do these meats not lend themselves favourably to sandwiches? Just curious!

Perhaps because pork has a short shelf life and of course some folk have problems with it anyway.
But lamb I have no idea. I know only the local farmers complain they they get paid nothing for it by the supermarkets.
Why I am I being serious at this time of day.

You may have to search a bit, depending on where you live in the USA, but you should find both pork and lamb sandwiches. In the Midwest, pork loin sandwices are popular. In the south, pulled pork and barbecued pork are popular. Lamb sandwiches, more of a hit and miss proposition, are available at some barbecue restaurants. Here in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles, a restaurant called the "Bear Pit" makes a wonderful lamb sandwich served on sour dough or garlic toast. Leg of lamb slices beautifully into sandwiches.

Do some searching on the Internet for restaurants in your area and check their menus, if possible. Good luck!

When it comes to pork,,,it does goes bad sooner than the other meats,,so could be dangerous...as for lamb,,,it is just not popular in the USA that much..I like lamb chops but don't care much for strips of lamb in a sandwich, unless it is heavily marinated in something....

Roast pork or roast lamb makes a great sandwich.
You probably don't get them because sandwich fillings are mass processed like ham, chicken and beef.

Lambs's not most people's idea of cold meat. It can be strong in flavour and greasy too. Pork doesn't keep that well, serve it cold more than a day after cooking and it tastes stale.

Pulled pork is a great sandwich her in the South. Lamb is better stewed of braised.

They make superb sandwiches. I'd guess it's just your boss's choice, perhaps there's a fraction of a penny more profit in what he does stock.
