I'm trying to order a customized NAVY ring for my bf for Christmas @ walmart.com. I'm trying to decide what designs to put on the side (symbols) & don't know what to put. My bf is graduating from training and is going to be on the Navy ship. He's not sure what his position on there is and I don't want to get the wrong symbols for the ring. Please help!

thank you!

what is his rating? use that as well as the Navy seal( don't do anchors, as you run the risk of getting Chief's anchors and he most definitely has NOT earned those yet).

I just looked at the website and it looks to me like those are class rings.. not something that is appropriate for somebody graduating from A school. you can get something like that however from the Navy Pride shop on base, or through the NEX website..assuming you have a sponsor.

My advice would be to maybe use this gift idea for another year when he's maybe earned warfare qualifications or other achievements. Then you could also include his ship's name and by then you should know his rate (job) and that can go on it as well.

If he's graduating boot camp... treat him to some Chicago Pizza while out on liberty (Giordano's was my favorite). The food isn't the greatest at RTC. Or if you are the only one coming to visit him, then YOU will be the best gift he could get.

if he doesnt know his rate (job) then all you can do is get one with the navy ensigna. chances are he won't wear it at work cause especially on ships all rings are considered unsafe. (dangerous doing line work or working on machinery)
