Surely if God gave me free will than I can choose not so sin.. and original sin.. when I was a baby I was "born into sin"... why? Why did god judge me on the actions of other man.. it's not very just is it?

Should I judge my newly born son on the actions of his brothers when they were young?

Gork says: free will is nonexistent, you are only concious of the decisions your brain makes, its an organic computer, the concept of free will is only in our heads just as much as the concept of the "soul" that could choose between two alternatives

Yes, you have the choice not to sin, but that doesn't have anything to do with your soul being stained by original sin. Just like you don't have the free will to have been born with or without legs. Original sin is a state of being, not a choice.

No you are not being judged by someone elses actions, just by the truth of the statement: ALL have fallen short. The world, which was created perfect, has fallen into sin because of the actions of our first parents, and only through Christ will we be seen as blameless.
To use your question: if your baby does something wrong and one of his siblings willingly takes the blame for it, that would be similar to our relationship to Jesus in the Father's eyes. Jesus already accepted the punishment, willingly, for all of us -- all we need to do is accept the gift.
Happy Holidays!

This is a religious model. All sin therefore all need a saviour.
Here we have a picture of a 'fallen race' before being offered the antidote.
In fact you are born with the ability to choose whatever path you like within the framework of the culture you were born into.
Only you can decide whether or not you are going to allow the precepts and teaching of a religion to interfere with the upbringing of your son.
Think first, then with scholarship and developed understanding, act.

Let's untwisted some of that twisted theology. We cannot come into the presents of Yahweh unless we go through our High Priest (Yeshua - Jesus) first. A true and Holy God who as no sin is at enmity with a sinful person. His Son bridges that enmity.
You just have a twisted theology of what "Holy" truly means. Shalom.

We are all born into a fallen world with the sins of our ancestors on our back. Why? Because in the beginning, in the garden of eden, man chose to believe the lies of satan and disobeyed God. Because of this, the human race was cursed as was the earth itself. Children have a dear position in the heart of God. No child is held accountable for their sin until they reach the age of accountability. Then they have the opportunity to either accept or reject the Christ...the Savior of all the world. Christ came to die for us because we were born into such a world. He took on the punishment of sin so we wouldn't have to. You see, the wages of sin is death. Once sin entered into this world, it was doomed to die...but Christ saved us.

God will judge you for your sins. Have you sinned? Can you afford the price fo those sins?

It is possible for man not to sin, Jesus did it. He's been the only one so far that I am aware of. You may choose not to sin. I have chosen to sin. I need the blood that Jesus shed for me.

The first responder is partly right. Free-will is a man-made concept argued among those who simply need to get a life. Pure human hogwash. God told A&E NOT to eat the fruit from the tree. Where is the "free-will" in that?

You can choose not to sin, that would be great but you were born into it just as well. Its like a generational curse...on all generations.

The atonement of Christ allows us to overcome the effects of the fall. We will only be judged according to out own sins, not Adam's transgression.
