Okay- I know you say God does not exsit but how about we challenge that in a personal way....
What if you in the confines of your own personal space- You for a minute clear your mind, maybe listen to this tune first no distractions
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eiy3_KRKNaQ&feature=related
Then in the quietness of your mind you truly ask GOD to reveal himself to you, ask him, open your heart, recite the sinners prayer
My Lord and my God, have mercy upon my soul, a sinner.
Come into my heart, Lord Jesus, and wash all my sins away with Your blood.
I invite you into my heart as my personal Savior, and I will follow you the rest of my life.
Tell GOD you have not believed, but are willing to give him a chance if he will give you a chance
You loose nothing, but gain your eternal life.

Pascal again. Cheers!
"You loose [sic] nothing..."
Yeah, I lose something. I waste my time talking to nothing. Please, keep your delusions to yourself. I don't wish to share them in any way, shape, or form. I won't say that I believe something when I don't. I will not lie, which is what you are suggesting I do. I don't say things that I don't believe.
I don't pray because prayer doesn't work. "Eternal life" is a myth, it's wishful thinking. Is there some reason why this one life you've got isn't enough? I think that we are fortunate to exist at all, what were the odds of any of us being born, being here, being us, at this time? That's pretty impressive. I'm satisfied with that. Your desire for "eternal life" makes no sense to me.
Here's a challenge for you. Go pray for God to restore the limbs of the amputees, or heal cancer, or move Mt. Fuji to Toledo. Let me know how that goes.

I appreciate that you are sincere in your attempt, but you seem to assume that all non-believers are shallow in their ways and that we have not given this as much long and careful thought as you have. You can't just turn around a person's entire philosophical outlook of life with one emotional song (and what kind of faith would that be, how profound could that be?)
As far as being saved and so forth... If you worship a God that wants to punish me for all of eternity for sincerely believing what I believe is right to believe and for following the path that makes sense to me in life, frankly, I want nothing to do with him. If you seriously believe in a God that says Gandhi deserves an eternity of punishment for choosing the wrong words to address his prayers to, I want nothing to do with him. I have no more regard for that God than I have for Huitzilopitchli of the Aztec. And I'll take my chances that the true God is capable of being less petty than an eight year old on a tantrum.
Thank you.

Would you do this for me? Think about the fact that Jesus's message to us was Love and Forgiveness. Please contemplate these things for truly is message is the only important one in the Bible. How can you spread a message of LOVE when your heart is filled with Hate and Contempt for those who do not believe?

I spent most of my youth begging for god to reveal itself to me is some way...anyway. I listened, I was silent, quiet of mind and body, I waited. Nothing. So I turned to different gods with the same questions. Still nothing. Long hours of quiet meditation have lead me to know that there is no god. Not in the sense that humanity thinks of it in any case.

Praying the sinner's prayer is the most important move in anyone's life, but it must be prayed by one truly repentant, and really sincere.

I'm not willing to do that because I don't believe in God. Why would you be trying to get me to accept something I don't believe in? Just because you say it doesn't make it true.

you are a great gal,

Self actualization and visualization,
Episcopal to tent revival
You are what you are and you can never be who you aren't.

I lose a minute of my life that could be spent on more productive things.
You also presume I've always been an atheist.
I'm more of an active denier and despiser of such rigid views than a scoffer, incidentally. I just do it in a scoffish way.
