Yes it can. Alcohol is actually a type of poison, and too much of it can kill you. To give you an idea: The legal limit for driving under the influence is 0.08%, which for most people is two or three drinks in an hour. If your blood alcohol content goes up to 0.30% (like if you chugged a 12-pack) chances are you'll end up in an alcoholic coma. Go up to 0.40% and you'll be pushing up daisies.

Have you ever heard of the practice of "hazing"? They used to do it at fraternity and sorority houses in colleges and universities all over the country. The practice has been banned and outlawed because too many teenagers were dropping dead after basically being forced to drink so much that they got sick or ended up dead of alcohol poisoning. My uncle used to be a trooper for the Michigan State Police (he's now the Deputy Commandant) and he was one of the responders in 1987 when an 18-year-old freshman at Michigan State University in East Lansing passed out during a hazing incident. He was pronounced DOA when they got him to the hospital.

Yes. Believe it. Its called alcohol poisoning. By the level of stupidity in your question, you probably aren't old enough to be drinking in the first place. Go play a game. Find a hobby. Do some homework.

It kills you only if you pass out after chugging a lot of high proof spirits. You have already passed out and your body is absorbing the alcohol, increasing your BAC. At about 0.40 theres a 50% chance you'll be dead, called the LD50. Everyone who dies from alcohol poisoning really has no idea it happened.

Well Trish, if you don't believe it read Luis's question. Alcohol can most certainly kill you......and if you are too naive to believe.....shoot for the stars....Luis did 28 shots....maybe you can surpass him and then one of your friends can post a follow up....maybe something like...."Did you know that 33 shots of booze won't kill you? It will just place you in a coma, the vegetative kind." ........so make sure you go big.

Yes it can. You can either die from alcohol poisoning or cirrosis of the liver. My father and my cousin both died from cirrosis of the liver because they both drank too much. So BELIEVE IT!!!
