White collar crime well if it was a felony conviction he can not get nothing non violent or not a felony conviction states no felon can have or purchase a firearm it is a charge in itself depending on the state felon in possesion of a fire arm manditory 2 year sentence. And just because its white/collar crime does not make it non voilent you still hurt other people and change there lives forever that's what? Its better to go without than to take whats not yours prison is a mean place and to want to purchase a gun why? Whats next?

This does differ from state to state I believe. I am only familiar with the law in Pennsylvania. Although MOST felony convictions in PA prohibit you from buying, selling, transfering, or posessing a firearm, not ALL felony convictions do.
Most of the felonies that keep you from having a firearm are more violent in nature (burglary, robbery, rape, etc.). There are even some Misdemeanor crimes that prohibit you from having a firearm (such as three DUI convictions within a 5 year period).
You will have to check the specific law for your state.

Whether it was white collar or not, or violent or not, doesn't really matter. What matters is if it was a felony or a misdemeanor. As a general rule, felonies disqualify you from gun ownership, misdemeanors don't.

Any felony conviction prevents one from obtaining a license to carry.
There are very few exceptions where black powder rifles may be maintained under federal law but you need to insure it's still allowed or illegal under state law. A state law can be enhanced to a greater degree than a federal law...just not less than!
Best wishes.

Convicted felons can not buy or carry guns of any kind. It's a good way to get yourself thrown back in the poky.
