it depends on your price range. I'm sure anything DORA THE EXPLORER would work!
Also, crayola has mess free color wonder markers and finger paints.. and easy way for her to get creative with out mom worrying about the mess! You have to get her the color wonder paper as well.. as it will only show up on that paper.

At toys R Us or Walmart they have these Kids Sofa Beds. They run about 29.99 - 39.99 they come with or without a blanket zipped in. (sesam Street, Dora, Spiderman etc.. ) THEY ARE THE BEST THINGS IN THE WORLD!!! I have had to buy several because every time one of my nieces or nephews comes over they want one too. My daughter is 23 months old and has not gone a day without sleeping or playing in hers since we got it 6 months ago. BEST GIFT EVER!!!

Something for imaginative play, like pretend food. Anything from Melissa and Doug is usually educational and fun. Made of wood and beautifully painted

My daughter is 2 and LOVES tea sets. The porcelain kind works fine with her...nothing broken yet. But they do make plastic and tin ones.
