try bringing treats outside with you and immediately giving the dog one RIGHT after they "do their business" worked for me....really well... but it's important to do it outside...that way he/she associates treats with going to the bathroom out doors.

Puppies are GREAT!
But they take patience just like children. Potty-training is just as difficult with a child as it is with a puppy! This all requires your patience!
1. If at all possible, AVOID using treats to reward behaviors. At all. Ever. These encourage behavior for treats, and cause MISbehavior when you do not have a treat to reward them.
2. To reward your puppy for doing business outdoors, pet and praise them on their return indoors. "Good job Spike! Way to pee outside buddy!" While petting is all GOOD behavior rewards.
3. Never punish a puppy for potty-training mistakes while they're young. They're learning, and they have no idea how much your carpet is worth, or why they are not allowed to simply pee where they want. They have to go, it's nature, so they go. You have to show your puppy what you expect.
4. During a potty-training accident, simply stop the puppy from peeing and take them outside immediately! When the puppy does business outdoors, again, PRAISE, not punishment. A dog will forget they peed indoors moments before, and will not understand if you decide to yell and hit.
5. Always include others in potty-training, especially if you will not be there during the day. Let others know the methods you are going to try for potty-training [taking the puppy out frequently, rewarding with pets and praise, and taking puppy outside immediately if an accident occurs.] and make sure the other people understand why these are important if they wish to play with the puppy.
6. Your puppy will get this! Don't give up, and know that potty-training takes time! Just like for children. Patience, and love.
Good luck!

You need to tell the people if they are going to take her out of the crate then THEY must follow your potty training schedule or else leave her in the crate. No sure why you got a puppy when you won't be home during the day to let it outside to go potty.

my dog is created all day while I'm at work. No more then 8 hrs per day. Take the dog out right away, no talk or touch until its done doing its thing. Then reward. It works. It only took me 3 weeks to train mine and she even lets me know when she needs to go. Also make sure you don't use the create as a discipline place when it bad otherwise it wont like to be created anymore

I potty trained my baby boxer by spreading a newspaper in the bathroom and placing him on it soon as he wakes up and soon as he finished his food. It takes patience and time to make the baby understand, but it is the best of all the other alternatives which has been suggested up till now. accidents will occur, but NEVER hit the pup, just put his nose to the site and say a firm 'no, no and go place him on the newspaper pad. My 4 years old Boxer uses my bathroom even now if he feels like urinating at night! Go ahead and try it , you will find yourself in a win-win situation for the rest of your dogs' life.

you need to tell these people that it takes a village to raise a child which means that dogs are not trained to be sneaky so if someone is letting the pup do something that you do not allow, the pup is going to think that it is ok all the time, they do not know the difference that something is ok only around a particular person but the same behavior is not acceptable when you are around. If these people do not help you the pup will remain confused as to who is right and who is not. keep trying, and make these people help or keep your pup[ away from them because they will keep breaking your training rituals.

im no expert, but make sure every hour/half an hour u take the dog out to do its business and give it a treat when it goes in the right place. when it potties in the wrong place, dont reward it. also, whenever u see ur dog circling or sniffing the floor more often, then take it out. this is a sign. also, before bedtime, after bedtime and after eating is when u should take ur dog out.
4 more info, search on google 'toilet training a puppy'
hope it helps!

When i first got my dog we set up a little place where she could go to the bathroom. Which was just an old cookie sheet with newspaper on it that we were going to throw away. So, when your dog goes to the bathroom on you carpet or somwhere you HAVE TO paddle your dog and kinda put its face close to it so it realizes what it has done wrong. When it finally does it right make sure to praise the dog so it keeps it up. Remeber to be firm. Trust me it works!

our dog trainer says use chicken liver as a treat when they potty outside with alot of praise. when u take him out and she does go praise her and give a treat to her if he goes inside don't give her anything. Use the kennel when u take her out of it take her out right away when she is done eating or drinking take her out and before u put her back into the kennel. Use the kennel to train when done playing with her take her out then when u bring her in put her in the kennel take her back out with in a half hour to see if she goes but use alot of praise and a treat when she does go outside. give also time for food to digest and for her to go outside before u put her in for the night cut off the water and food at a certain time
