Phenomenal little speech here I’d have to admit….. Slavic peoples have the virtuous privilege to express patriotism and embrace the great exquisiteness of their heritages and accomplishments. However I’ve personally never been to Ukraine; however I must indicate that your Pan Slavism ideologies aren’t practical..... With all due respect, would you seriously contemplate that Serbs and Croatians can collaborate together for some sort of “Slavic Valhalla”? Of course not. Nationalistic rivalries either must be eliminated or suppressed if some linguistic/ethnic group wishes to assimilate to a popular identity. Fantasizing that Slavs can unite to formulate a superstate would be the redundant equivalent of Hitler's ambition's to create a Germanic Reich that accommodated to oh I don't know, 40 or so million casualties? Nationalism is one thing, surrealism is another.

What kind of question is that? Are we to make a sweeping generality of an entire ethnic group? Like most ethnic groups, most people are decent and some that are not. Some are hardworking and faithful, some are lazy and drunk.

Perhaps it's politically alright to ask that quesiton, but imagine how the PC gods would descend on you if you asked what you think about Arabs?

That being said, I'm part Slavic and always thought the Czech and Polish girls were very cute.

My grandparents emmigrated to the USA in the late 1800s. They brought with them a devout tradition of Catholicism. Of course, that makes me the black sheep of the family. I don't know if slavics are more or less spiritual, but at least the ones I've known seem more devout. I would expect slavic people in Europe to be less devout considering that the secular communists did as much as possible to kill their spiritual culture.

I have worked with many new immigrants and descendants of Slavic peoples here in the USA. I never met one that was rude or lazy. Also Pope John Paul II is one of my heros.
