I realize that at this time of the year, family meetings can
be a little tough. Especially, if you and your family
members, are at odd, with each other. Fussing, fighting,
and carrying on, with the usual drama. It can be a bit
stressful around the holidays, and all. And even more so,
with married couples, who no longer share, that deep,
fire driven passion, they had a kids..... So, I was wondering,
how was the family dinner, at Thanksgiving ? It wasn't
strained was it. Come on now, be honest. Or was it
a meeting for the ages ? Best answer wins. *

Having dinner with my in-laws was great. There were no children and it was 6 adults. Very laid back and we all pitched in.

Now, going to my family for desert after thanksgiving dinner with the in-laws, that was a pain. There were several people including my parents and siblings and a few older kids (step brothers and nephew)...

My husband and I only stayed an hour and felt out of place. My family does not like my husband and me. We just made an appearance and pretty much left feeling very frustrated.

Hello I can honestly say it was a very good and thankful Thanksgiving , In my family the older generation is to be respected, so when the grandparents are around all are sweet. And if any of my family members were trouble makers they just would not get invited. After dinner the younger ones fly down stairs and its music, dancing, and doing their own thing and that's cool For me and the others its touchdown time and more eating, love my football. And that's what our holidays are like you can make your holiday be how you want it or you can let others make it be the way they want your choice. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas

I surprisingly had a great Thanksgiving. I had my mom motherin law, sister-in-law, and 3 nieces visiting, along with my husband and 2 daughters and myself. It got off to a rocky start....Turkey drippings smoking on the bottom of the oven, but the family left the house to go pecan picking while I got the smoke under control. The best part....we all fit perfectly at our new dining table!

Our family dinner was intruded on by insecure individuals who don't show up to family functions to please isolationists despite RSVP. Altho the situation is different in every case, those that were here enjoyed each other's company.

Thanksgiving went well. I wondered afterward if bodysnatchers replaced my parents, they acted almost completely normal and considerate!
