mmmmmm..... ok, i advice you to make a collection of the following bellow:
1. Basketball: signed by his best player
2. T-shirt of his best team
3. Cool perfume
those three would make a better gift for him. If you decide not to give him what i've suggested then why dont you arrange for a dinner between you two :)

Get him a tutor so he can graduate from high school and get a job. If he were really your "boyfriend" you would know what he likes and could make a decision on your own without asking people who have no idea what he is like.

id say something that isn't basketball gear, if he is really serious about it, he prob has everything he needs...
maybe something special like tickets to a game?, or some of those custom trading cards with his pic on them?, the key is something from your heart, he will defenitially appreciate your gift
