You can buy a spray tanning kit at Sephora that you can use at home. Have your fiance or a girlfriend do it. It may take a few applications to cover it evenly, that's why I would recommend that over paying for sessions at a salon.

I had a similar issue when my friend was married last june. OUr bridesmaids dresses had spagetti straps, but I had been wearing short sleeves, and my left arm was more tan from driving. So I had multiple issues!
I used Jergens natural glow moisturizer. What it did was even out my skin tone and made the tan lines unnoticeable. I would reccomend this especially if you are fair skinned and do not plan on looking tan. You can find a lotion applicator especially for your back at any bath/body store. They even sell them at Wal-Mart!
If you want to look tan or have a darker complexion, then I would suggest a salon professional spray on tan. These services are more fool proof than self applications. You don't have to worry about streaks or turning orange etc. You would probably only need a light application.
Good luck!

To cover up tan lines, I would suggest to get a spray tan. And go to a salon for this, they know what they are doing. Also, try the mystic tan. It is even and doesn't turn you orange.

I wouldn't tan before a wedding, as a mystic tan might rub off on the dress if it's too recent (stains!) and it would make your already tan parts darker, which would be too much contrast against the white dress.
Try Derma-blend make up. We recommend it for our models when they need to cover tattoos and such, it will match your current skin tone, and I don't think it will bleed onto the dress - but test it out first. www.dermablend.com

If they are not too bad, you can buy daily moisturizers with self tanners in them. My cousin did this for my wedding and her tan lines blended right in. If they are worse, you can either go to a tanning bed or get a spray on.
