Christmas Eve, I am in the kitchen with the kids baking cookies, making hor-deuves for that night to eat. I will make two dips, veggies and fruit and cheese tray, puff pastries etc. I also prepare the Xmas morning breakfast casserole and some of the dishes for the main meal on Xmas day.

On Xmas Morning, it's my homemade baileys for my husband and I and egg nog for the kids(6 & 3) as we open up the gifts. I'm a Xmas person, and usually first one up at 5 to wake the kids up!!! For morning, I would of prepared a breakfast casserole thats cooking as we've opened presents (which was done the night before). At lunch time, we eat the leftovers from the night before and I get the turkey dinner on for the fam, Xmas movies and music are on thru out the day.

It's a great traditiont that we value in our house.

On Christmas Eve we have our big dinner. My parents always did it this way and I'm carrying out their tradition. That night, we normally read Christmas stories, watch a movie, and just have family time. My grandma always gets us [my husband, my son, and me] pajamas so we open those gifts and have our normal nightly routine wearing our new pajamas. Shoot, I forgot about the whole Santa thing. We leave out cookies and carrots for him and the reindeer. Then, my husband and I stay up how ever long it takes us to set up the big gifts. Last year he spent forever on a darn bike.

Then on Christmas morning my husband ALWAYS wakes us all up. Haha! We go into the living room, get some meat and cheese, and some snacks, then start opening presents. We normally take a few breaks just to use the bathroom or talk. It just makes it go by slower. We call our family and friends after the gifts are all opened. We just take time and relax the rest of the day. That night we have soup for dinner so I don't have to run around Christmas night to make a good feast.

These are all traditions that my grandparents and parents started. I guess I just follow them because that's what's I'm used to. I miss all my family greatly especially during the holidays but I sure am happy to have my own.

Nothing much on christmas eve, exept put the presents out etc.
On christmas day, after opening presents and stuff, some family comes to the house.
We have christmas dinner about 1/2, then the kids play with their toys. Not much really.

I only have a 3 yr. old, so our holiday is pretty uneventful so far. I don't have anything specific we do every year yet, I'm just not that creative I guess. On Christmas, my daughter gets up and opens some presents, then we eat breakfast and she usually still has more presents to open. (it gets boring quick for them having to open all those presents! lol) Later on we go to my parents house to exchange our gifts and have dinner together. That's about it.
