God does prove to be lacking some self confidence in some portions of the bible. He admits to being jealous, and commits acts that seem unreasonable. Perhaps he doesn't believe in himself.
After-all, in many cases God is quite human-like. For example, he chooses favorites, takes revenge, has rivalries, and jealousy. Why wouldn't he, like so many humans in our time, not believe in himself?
Assuming you are talking about the God from the bible.

Well, there is no answer that we can clarify distinctly of whether or not God doesn't believe in himself. All that can be said is that he is probably a very insecure individual if he did not believe in himself, seen as though there are billions of people that believe in him he should already of established a secure basis for his personality before he let himself be believed in. He also must be a very strong character to start the theoretical subject that is religion, without him the word atheist would not exist in the english language. No unless he was a very insecure individual then I suppose really he could be an atheist, I suppose that it could be a holy version of God being on the brink of a suicidal catastrophe , in which no longer believe in yourself and then you would lose the will/strength to live.

In Islam religion ,this is totally un acceptable , because Allah is the only owner of this world . It's not logic that god is an atheist . I'll give a proof to what I'm saying :
These are verses from The Nobel Qur'an .Allah said about Himself "say (oh Muhammad -peace be upon him-)"He is Allah ,(the one ).2-(Allah -the Self Sufficient Master,Whom all creatures need,(He neither eats nor drinks )3-"He begets not ,nor was He begotten .4-" And there is none co-equal or comparable unto Him"

God is everything.
Atheism, as a philosophical view, is the position that either affirms the nonexistence of gods[1] or rejects theism.[2] When defined more broadly, atheism is the absence of belief in deities,[3] alternatively called nontheism.[4] Although atheism is often equated with irreligion, some religious philosophies, such as secular theology and some varieties of Theravada Buddhism, also lack belief in a personal god.
Many self-described atheists are skeptical of all supernatural beings and cite a lack of empirical evidence for the existence of deities. Others argue for atheism on philosophical, social or historical grounds. Although many self-described atheists tend toward secular philosophies such as humanism[5] and naturalism,[6] there is no one ideology or set of behaviors to which all atheists adhere.[7]
The term atheism originated as a pejorative epithet applied to any person or belief in conflict with established religion.[8] With the spread of freethought, scientific skepticism, and criticism of religion, the term began to gather a more specific meaning and was sometimes used as a self-description by atheists.

Depends on the God but apparently God can do anything so if that is true than yes he could deny his role as God and not believe in any original creator or even himself. How would you know if you were the first being to exist???

Which God? The polytheistic Gods wouldn't be atheist. Zeus would believe in Apollo, Thor, Hades etc. The God of the Abrahamic religions most certainly would be.

Well, let's see: God probably doesn't believe in a "higher power" than Him; He probably doesn't worship anything or anyone; and since He's omniscient, He wouldn't have "faith", because He has Absolute Knowledge about what's true vs. not. So, yeah, it seems quite likely that God would consider Himself to be an atheist.

It would be kinda impossible for God to be an atheist. The definition of atheist is one who doesn't believe in any God. In order for someone to not believe in God, they would have to have lack of evidence of a god. If God does exist, it would be impossible for Him not to have proof of His own existance, because He knows He exists.
Sorry, I used to smoke a lot of pot.

Of course he is an atheist. Why would god believe in himself?
If he knows everything, then he can't have faith. God knows everything. Ipso facto, god is an atheist.

Is god an atheist? Well... he is God, so logically it seems impossible, but he is also God... so logically... it seems possible. Hmm... are you trying to bait crazy religious nuts so you can go back and read their comments to make your own beliefs seem more justified?
