How tight a budget is it? Often 2 big areas where you can cut a lot of money are on alcohol and food. Caterers are expensive so if you can cut out a lot of the cost there, it will help.

Also, cut the guest list by as much as you can. A smaller wedding is a lot less costly than a large one, plus it gives it a more intimate feel.

Where are you getting married? Many churches offer the church fellowship hall for free when you book the sanctuary. Though you may have to deal with rules like no alcohol, and it often doesn't have as dressy a look as many "reception" halls. Often historic homes in the area are inexpensive, though you may not be able to have dancing. You could rent a beachhouse and do the reception there. It would also be a great place for many of the guests to stay.

Look at the costs of a beach wedding. It depends on the county and city permits, but just moving 2 beaches further north can save you $200 on permit cost.

Smaller areas have cheaper places. Stay out of Orlando, Tampa, Daytona. Consider shriner's temples (that's where I had mine) or places that are listed as "conference centers" instead of reception halls. You may consider a night club. Florida has lots of rooftop night clubs that you could rent just the roof top for your wedding reception for cheaper as they could still use the interior of the club that night. Public gardens are always beautiful locations.

Well in dade and broward counties u can rent the park halls for either $15 a hour or more if ur a resident and like five dollars more if ur not. The beach is always a nice place but to do it for free u have to deal with the public. Each of the cities have cultural arts centers which may be cheap assuming where u are. The best bet is the park and if it's a nice park u can have it outside. I've been to a wedding who had the wedding near the park's fountain and the reception inside the park's hall. Congrats and Good Luck!! =)

Try public parks. There is often just a very minimal permit fee. The same goes with public museums.

I would say try to find a nice hall and rent it out or try a park in your area.
