Is there any reference of him after the nativity

He was older than Mary, remember.

If Mary was around 13-16 when Jesus was born, and then went on to have 3-4 other children, and possibly raise Joseph's children from his first marriage, then she would have been around 45-55, when Jesus was executed.

Joseph, being older than Mary, evidently died sometime during Jesus' 'missing years.'

There is mention of Joseph after the Nativity. Remember them fleeing to Egypt? And, Jesus being taught his father's trade?

But, there is no reference to Joseph after Jesus' adolescence. This is one reason that leads Muslims to believe Joseph didn't exist. They believe the Bible and Torah have been edited by humans overtime - and that Joseph is an example of that editing of the word of God. Muslims, and other skeptics of the Bible contend - If Joseph existed and was so important in the life of Jesus, why is his death or disappearance not mentioned, while Mary is one of the most present people in the whole life of Jesus.

Joseph is mentioned when Jesus is 12 years old.

But not after that.

Apparently by the time Jesus public ministry began, Joseph had died.

Which is what one would expect.

In order for Jesus to rightly claim to be King of the Jews, His earthy father, Joseph, whom everyone knew was the Heir to David's Throne, would have had to be dead.

He was blessed by God to be the chosen earthly father of Jesus. Not much is mentioned about Joseph during Jesus life. That should help single mothers not feel so guilty. Society, not so much today, use to look down on single mothers but there is a big chance that Mary was a single mother as well.

The bible wasn't about Joseph.
It was written for the education of mankind to his benefit.
Incidentally, what IS known about him is that he worked with Jesus in business, traveling as needed to foreign lands. Jesus studied where they went.
Jesus began his ministries some time after Joseph's demise.
No, it's not in the bible, but has been learned from other sources.

Well there are references to him a little bit after that, but not much. What we DO know is that he died before Jesus did or else Jesus would not have asked John to take care of Mary.

My guess is that he lived a long and productive life. He was a good man. Then he died and now resides with God.
