You will need to purchase an XP installation CD. Put it into your CD drive and restart the computer. Follow the instructions on removing and creating a partition, and then format this new partition. You will also need all the drivers for your mother board and any add-on cards that you are running.

But I must ask, why would you want to revert to an older OS? Vista is way better then XP, and will continue to get better as time goes by.

As far as I know, you can't revert. The only way to do it is to wipe the hard drive clean with a format and then do a fresh install of XP.

You will need the XP DVD to do this.

If you have a way to create a new partition on your hard drive (or a separate hard drive) you can install XP on it and then dual boot the computer.

well, you have to buy an XP cd, go into ur computer BIOS, change the boot order so cd-rom drive is first, put the XP cd in and start up your computer
during the install process, you probably would have the option repartition your hard drive to prep it for XP

I would advise you not to, unless you want to spend the time and money to do so. If you take it in to be serviced, it will take around five days just to find the new drivers. Who knows just how long after that.
