Pigs are more similar to humans than we think...

- Same size torso.
- Some internal organs are almost identical.
- Similar hearts.
- Pigs on an operating table respond similar to humans.
- Pigs are being used for human spare parts in the US.
- Research in pigs brains are conducted to unravel the mysteries of the human mind.
- Pigs can solve complex problems better than Chimps.
- Pigs are affected by traumatic events in their early childhood.
- Pig Stem Cells are to be used to grow human organs.

It makes me shiver to think that eating pigs is like eating humans, but as techology progresses, we find a lot more similarities between both living species.

Maybe there is something to think about when you eat your next ham and bacon meal. 80 million tons of pork is consumed yearly worldwide.

However, practicing Muslims and Jews don't eat pig products, as commanded to them by God...so, there may just be some logic in that...!

What do you think?

Interesting question!
Did you know that pigs are a co-creation between Noah (PBUH) and Allah (SWT).
It is for this reason that consumption of this animal is considered Haram!
The pig was created to consume all the waste products on the Arc! This is why they are considered unclean!

Salaams,

I think in all religions there was someone wise at the beggining, who knew a little more than others did, in his times. A jewish guy proved me that jewish do not eat those animals who suffer much when they are killed :)

I had no idea about those similarities. However this should not make you think that it's the proof that a religion is correct.

BTW, I feel happy right now for allmost never eating pork

We are also similar in other ways to different animals. This essentially means nothing other than pigs are good to eat, for parts and make good test subjects.

By the way, chimps have local dialects and learn to make and use tools, but pigs do not.

Interesting. I didn't know. Do you think that is why God told the Muslims and Jews not to eat pig? Maybe no one should.

Just because some animal is very similar to another animal, this in NO way means that they are identical. If they were identical, they would be the SAME.
