How about a nice card with a sentimental note? Or a single flower (I like calla lillies)? Or surprise this person at work with lunch or some coffee/tea? My favorite is when my husband brings me a flower on a random night of the week or when he gets up a bit early on a Saturday morning and brings me a cup of coffee in bed. It's all the little things that make a girl smile!

My ex knew I loved m&m's. He was a gas station and jsut saw a pack. He decided to pick them up because he knew I had a rough day and thought it would cheer me up. It worked and he let me know how much he cared.
The perfect just because gifts are when you see something she would really love and pick it up just because she would love it. Simple things. A flower, a candy bar, a book.
Picnics, tickets to a show she wants to see, or renting her favorite movie for a night in.
What does she like to do? Pick up something for one of her hobbies. Scrapbooking? Pick up some cute stickers. Runner? Pick up some head gear, so she won't be cold while she is out. Music? Burn her a CD of some of her favorite tunes. Just be on the lookout for things she might like.

try....
flowers
at home cooked dinner with yummy wine ( i like wine hehe)
picnic at a park or beach (depending on weather and where you live)
