make such a blanket statement as: "I like catholics more than protestants". Wouldn't this world be just a little better if people were looked upon as individuals?

I believe she may have said that because it seems that the vast majority of Protestants on here are here for no other reason to bash the Catholic Faith.

I root for the underdog too. Anyone who uses propaganda and lies to discredit another immediately loses all my respect.

And even if this is not true of all Protestants, I have yet to see a Protestant correct another Protestant on here for bashing Catholics.

First, Emily Rose is a fictional individual, albeit situated on a truly case, Anneliese Michel, in Germany. The film, "The excorcism of Emily Rose" is allegedly performed with a excellent deal of poetic license. There's a German film, 'Requiem', that's mentioned to be in the direction of the truly parties. Personally I do not feel she was once possessed, however critically mentally disturbed. The indisputable fact that she suggestion herself possessed had quite often to do together with her possess devout view. The robust therapy she was once taking is understood to impact the frightened approach which might motive, amongst different matters, alterations within the notion of truth.

hmm im agnostic, and i disagree with catholics. i side with protestants, though i disagree with both. this might be due to the fact i was raised in a christian school, thus i read the bible...

people are better looked upon as individuals, but you can still dislike a group of individuals.

i dont like racial supremacists... *shrug* thats a group of people.

all it does is distinguish individuals with specific beleifs/ideas. catholics dont read, nor take the bible seriously (as shown by their display of unbiblical practices - rosary, confession, pope, etc..)

remember though, these "groups" arent a type of generalization or stereotype in the aspect. this group defines specific people.

Yes, people should be looked upon as individuals, but however certain groups of people tend to have symilar ways of thinking and attitudes. For example I don't like missionaries. Some of them can be ok, but most of them are a little fanatic

There are too many individuals to make an accurate assessment.

Thats why stereotypes exist in the first place. They only hurt because they are laced with truth.

Personal opinion: no religion is correct. We have seemed to forget that we are nothing more than animals. Now I know I will catch a lot of heat on this one but why must we believe that there is something greater that ourselves? Hogwash! All of it.

Why would you single out an atheist. Sounds like you are a model of what you're trying to condemn.
