I mean think about it. There are literally Tens of THOUSANDS of Gods, Spirits, Faeries, Elves, and other mythological creatures than neither the Christians NOR the atheists believe in (well, some atheists believe in the faeries, but most don't). If you get really down to it, we both Agree on just so MANY different religions and traditions....being wrong.

I mean, we really agree a LOT more than most people think.

Can't we just be friends and get along, taking solace in how silly those Quetzalcoatl believers are/were?

We just go one God further is all...but what's one point of disagreement in the face of tens of thousands of things we DO agree on?

I agree, we could focus on things we agree on... Really, if there were such things... but even then, the atheists will not stay dormant for long, eventually they will begin to challenge our beliefs, and that's because our mere existence challenges their belief. I have a long relationship with the atheists. I don't like to bug them, but they want to teach my kids what to believe, and I draw the line there. Bottom line, I value different things than the atheist. And when it conflicts with important decisions, well... you put two and two together.

But what is there actually is a Quetzalcoatl? Don't you think you should just play things safe?

You lost me when you said "we". If you believe in any form of the Supernatural and Imaginary Deities, don't include me.

I'm with you about finding common ground. I do it all the time with my Christian, Pagan and Wiccan friends. We should get along with the QBs, too. ~Z

Sure we can be friends. As your friend, I want you to go to heaven when you die. As your friend, I want you to have a relationship with my God, because He's just great.
