My daughter has chicken pox and I already have had the virus as a child. Can I spread the virus to others since I am constantly around her?

Only if you are rubbing on her blisters and carrying that around to rub on other people. You should wash regularly and wear an overshirt to care for her if you plan on leaving the house.

Good luck, my kids had it last year.

The virus that causes chicken pox is only contagious during the stage where there are oozing pustules. You could spread chicken pox by coming into contact with a pustule and then touching some other surface that people are also likely to touch. You can avoid this entirely by washing your hands and wearing clean clothes than have not been around your child or any surfaces that might be contaminated.

Yes. Even if you do not get the disease you can carry the virus and spread it others. This can be very dangerous to adults who have never had Chicken Pox before. Even if a person has had the disease they can get shingles. Please, stay home!!
