No, because in the end that would be logically impossible as God has no need for automatons. And, humanity, believe it or not, is much better of existing that not existing because of God's plan of salvation. Of course if you subscribe to the fundamentalist view of Christianity then this won't make sense, since they think most people go to hell, but the true Christian church teaches otherwise.
3: I had a feeling someone might say something like that. I say logically impossible because God is has infinite happiness. Therefore, He cannot gain anymore happiness by creating humanity. However, humans, are infinitely better off, by being given a chance to be united with God.
edit 2: angels do not have free will.
God did not establish a place outside of heaven, as that is logically impossible as well. The difference between heaven and hell is not location, but how we experience God's love. A metaphor that may help to explain it would be like this: The afterlife is a place where God's love burns like fire for us. If you are "in heaven" you are like a mirror and can reflect that love. If you are "in hell" you cannot reflect that love, but rather are burned by it. Whether you are a mirror or not is up to you. It's a poor metaphor but hopefully that explains it more or less.

Animals seem to be happy... and supposedly they don't have souls & free wills... hmm...
EDIT:
haha, I love how that Thom1274 guy says:
"in the end that would be logically impossible. God does not have any need for automatons"
LOL... okay, first off, how is that "logically impossible". Do you mean... "useless"?
Secondly, how are we of any use anyways? Satan and the angels have free will, so why establish a place outside of heaven, knowing everyone will be cursed by the mistake of Eve... I'm having a REALLY hard time seeing a purpose for humanity besides pure entertainment... your god is sick... invent a new one please!

"Jesus is the creator of free will."
Yes because people who lived in BC times had no power to do anything whatsoever any any time on their own.
Here, I'll make a ridiculous statement too.

When I went to Sunday class my "Teacher"
(if you can even call him that) said that when we go to Heaven we will always be singing, dancing, & praising God.
That doesn't sound like too much fun to me.
And He made it sound like we would be programed to do that. Without any choice. So for an eternity I am constantly reminding this God how great he is...Whoopie.
So sure. I think Christians would gladly give up their "free will" (or Soul if you will) just to save their own skin.

I don't understand God's plan but I know it is perfect. Free will is a part of that perfect plan. Just because I don't understand it all doesn't mean it isn't the best way. Trust in Him and He will see you through

the selfless act was Him dying on the cross for us- if we had no free will, we would have no choice to accept that truth.

i would rather have freedom, with joy and pain, than to be a mindless robotic gear in a machine.
it is through suffering in this world, that we can choose to show Gods love, which is what Jesus did.

Let me get this straight.
You want us to choose of our own free will to not have free will.
God......... Is that you?
