Acrobat is a bit of a resource hog, plus it tries to install photo software which wastes even more space. If you simply need to read files, use Foxit Reader. A search on Google will give you download details; like Acrobat it's free.

Both will read a PDF file. Acrobat will also create and edit a PDF; Reader doesn't . If you just need to read a PDF, download a free version of Reader and use that.

both, I think, I have Adobe reader, but something isn't working with it so whenever I come across a pdf file I have to right click it and save it to my computer before I can open it.

Download the reader. Be forwarned if you are on dialup, it is a somewhat lengthy downoad, so be prepared to do it sometime when you AREN'T planning on doing other online activities.
