No not trying to avoid child support or back taxes..... spouse has no verifiable income and thought maybe if this showed a "job" .... a new one would be easier. Thanks!

No, your employer cannot do that. It would be considered tax fraud by the federal government. You must use your own identity for your paycheck.

Legally, this is money paid to you.
Some employers offer direct deposit, where the money goes directly to a bank account that you specify.
You could specify that it goes into your spouse's account.

Many paychecks have a name & address, so that they can be mailed, if the employee is off sick, and also this is the address on the tax documents. You can give the address of your spouse.

Trying to avoid Child Support or back taxes, or do you just not have a bank account? Your employer won't do it. You are the one responsible for paying the taxes so it has to be reported under your name and payable to you. Maybe if you got paid under the table or something that would work but I find it very unlikely any reputable employer would do it, to risky for them.

No, the person who did the work is the person who has to be paid. If the employer did what you are suggesting, it would be illegal.

This is called fraud and will go over poorly with people whom you are trying to deceive.
