Why do people call themselve muslim when...?

they drink and eat pork? I know several who do this and still call themselve muslim..what do u think?

If you grew up on bacon, pork chops and sausage, then later converted to the Muslim faith, you would probably just ignore that law until you finished eating.

Good and bad are every where in every religion. There are good and bad hindus, there are good and bad Christians, Jews, so just like them there are good and bad Muslims as well.
If they drink and eat pork, they are not doing anything halal, and is committing a sin. And only Allah is to decide whether they will be forgiven or not, we have no right to judge them but whatever they are doing is not allowed and is not good. They should quit it and ask Allah for forgiveness. If they yet call themselves Muslims, then its their faith, they might be praying to Allah, they might recite their creed, they might fast during Ramadan. and on the other hand committing sins. Thats bad.
Allah is the most merciful, they shall ask for forgiveness.

What about all the Christians who commit adultery? The truth none of us are perfect. The Muslims on this site need to turn off their computers and get lives. Most of my Muslim friends are not strict religion pushers anyway

ANSWER: We're all human, different and work within our belief structures as we're able to. In plain English, nobody's perfect, so we should have compassion for others and ourselves as well.

so now we've concluded that both contain people who dont strictly follow their religious laws/practices...
