I always had a problem since I was little of not getting thirsty. I've always been that way and I cannot stand drinking water. I tried to drink it on a schedule but I just forget to drink or don't want to - even if it's sitting right in front of me. I'll go a day or two with only drinking maybe half a cup or so a day - I'll drink hot tea in the morning and I only drink pop occasionally but I don't like sugar that much so I can't drink it a lot or juice either. I also won't drink anything with artificial sweetners so I won't drink flavored water either. I just don't know why I never get thirsty!

Is anyone else like this or what can I do for myself?

I add a tablespoon of cranberry juice (the non sweetened kind) or pomegranite juice to my water. Sure makes it taste better. And it isn't sweet either. Can drink it hot or iced, doesn't matter. Oh, by the way, the 1 T of juice is to a 16 ounce glass. Just a hint of flavoring in the water.

This has helped my hubby learn to drink water too! He didn't like to just drink water.

I understand. I don't drink much water either, and very rarely am I thirsty. I drink about four cups of coffee a day, and an occasional soda. This seems to sustain me very well.

Just about any liquid will help hydrate you but not as well as water. I drink alot of iced tea (unsweetened). There are all kinds of tea, caffinated, decaf, herbal, etc. Also I find it easier to drink while I'm eating so I drink alot at meals.

I am not sure why you don't get thirsty but you obviousally know it is important to your health to stay hydrated.

Fluids are very important to your body, dehydration, urinary tract infections, and build up of sodium and potassium.
See a Dr. and check what you can do about this. Your body DEFINITELY needs this. Try a little lemon in your water, I like unsweet tea too. I drink constantly, most of my medications cause dry mouth. Doesn't your mouth get dry?

You need to get help. If you don't drink water you are going to get really sick. See a doctor to see if there is anything he can do.
