Oh yeah, I have been depending on him for the past year. There are times I am ready to give up.... and suddenly He gives me a reprieve from the daily anguish for a short while, just so I can get my bearings again.
Today the struggle is this:
-My daughter is still sick after a year of being nauseated and now she is anorexic and weighs 99 LBS.
- I am still fighting with the doctors to help her and fighting with her to eat
- my dog is healing from his bladder stone surgery which happened the day before Thanksgiving
- my car is in the shop because it doesn't start like it should and I need it to get to my daughters doctor appointments in Detroit. (scary neighborhood... I need my car to run)
- I have a dentist appointment today and am expecting bad news because a tooth I have feels like a raw nerve
- my father called... just to make my daughter feel bad about herself and he can't seem to understand that is NOT how you handle an anorexic.
- I interpreted a job and found out they just decided they are not going to pay me because THEY say they never called, when they did. ( I even missed out on Halloween with my daughter to do the dang job)
With all this, I still KNOW that God is good and He is the ONLY reason I can continue to function.

but the big question is... how does one depend on God and enjoy the benefits of God's light of life.
Theologians are making a BIG blunder by favoring the Pauline Gospel over the Kingdom Gospel that Jesus actually preached.
This resource makes the distinction and explains the Original Gospel in understandable terms... so that a person can learn HOW to depend on God.

I depend on God to give me the strength I need, the understanding why, and the wisdom to deal with it with peace and inteligence... I may ask Him mercy and I may ask Him to unload a little, if I deserve it to be granted, however, I accept His will, because He knows what is good to me.
Heavy loads makes our muscles stronger for future challenges, after all.
Peace!

I know God is there when I am going through hard things. I am dealing with something very hard in my life now and I know he is there. It may just be a feeling but sometimes he sends people that will help me through the hard times. God works in so many ways. I do not ever want to do anything with out him.

I depend on God for everything I have always heard that the sweetest prayer to God is just one word. Help. So if I need help I run to him.

Yes. Our knowledge, our intelligence, our talent, strength, opulence, everything is depending on God. As soon as He likes, He can withdraw immediately all this qualities, and we become deprived from everything.

Well, on average mine is typical, about 1-2 tablespoons, so it's not cause for alarm. But in those times when I've been saving up it does tend to be a bit more than this, but I needn't ask God for any favors in that case, it's usually a good thing to let the faith flow.

I think that's why God allows our loads to be too much...so that He can carry it for us. And so we need him. If we were always in want, we wouldnt turn to Him as often, our needs would be filled so we wouldnt need God.

I had a burdon the last time I prayed. I needed God to reveal himself to me.
He chose not too, the burdon of proof was too strong, so I gave up my belief and focused on the tangible from then on.
