The girl I love has a completely different interests and hobbies.
I'm looking for a serious relationship, and if it worked out we may end up married, but would it?!
When I imagine myself married, it's always me sitting in a room listening to classical music or on my computer, and she is in a different room reading the newspaper or solving the crosswords, then, I see myself forced to watch the movies she likes and listening to her music just to "spend time together and try to make it work" and vice-versa. We won't have anything in common to chat about, etc.
You see my point? surely not nice huh?

it's good that you like different things because it's going to be boring if you both have the same interests and hobbies , your differences will just give both of you time apart that will make your relationship better like you go out and eat lunch after that you go do your thing and she will go out with her friends , we all need some time alone or with other people even though we love the person so much , love/relationship is about sacrificing things for your behalf and vice versa , both of you should sacrifice talk to her about your problem and compromise : YES it will work

The differences between you two are good in the respect that you both should have no problem finding things to do away from each other and not become overly dependent on the other person for your happiness. The key is to find things that you both like to do and do them together. Just because you are in a relationship or a marriage doesn't mean you have to give up everything you like. It just means that you two bring into the relationship who you are and then you find common ground to grow together on. Good luck!

Surely you're not in love with her. No, you aren't. If you were, you wouldn't have to be "forced" into watching anything "for her". If these petty things are what really matter to you, then God help you when it comes time to get married. As long as your core values and your vision of the future is the same as hers and all the big things fit, then these minor differences in hobbies and interests could make things interesting!

its not about the interests, if the love is there it will work, and dont think that you 2 will only be spending time together just to make it work, you will learn to tolerate each others differences, after about a month of it i guarantee you wont mind her interests, and you will start doing them yourself, interests are like ideas, they can be passed on very easily. Good Luck Man!!

If you sincerely love this lady, then your differences will not bother you so much that you have to put it on here... go for your heart and believe it or not there might be little or no difference between you both and you are just tooo blind to see that. All the best!!!
