No! Jesus tells a parable of a man who sows good seed in his field and an enemy comes and sows bad seed. Jesus said to let the good and bad grow together, by pulling up the bad, some of the good would be pulled up as well. At harvest time the good and bad will be seperated and the chaf will be burned in the fire.

Are you asking if we should burn schizophrenics at the stake? What about people with other mental illnesses who hear things? Should we be burning them too? Sounds like you've found a solution to the problem of overburdened mental hospitals. I don't like it, and I don't like the ill feeling in this question. Perhaps you should ask yourself why you feel so violently angry towards people who claim to talk to God and hear Him answer. Are you jealous, maybe?

Well, if you burned me for talking with God, so be it, because then that would get me into His actual presence much sooner. I do hear Him answer- go ahead and mock God, the one that desires to have a personal relationship with you too.

No. Its fine to talk TO "god". Its when you think God is talking back that the problems start. For that there is psychotherapy and medication. Or you could just start a multi-million dollar TV evangelical ministry - maybe God will buy you a satellite!

I don't think bigotry and intolerance is the solution to mental illness. We kind of figured with time that psychiatric hospitals are a better place for people who have conversations with the voices in their heads.

The Waldensians were protestants that were accused of being witches for having different beliefs than other mainstream christians. That wouldn't be anything new.

Don't worry about them. The inevitable process of natural selection will weed out those people eventually.

No, praying is talking to God, revelation from his written word is hearing from God. Why not make God one of your contacts?
