different people on different continents ate different things. some were strictly herbovoire, some carnivoire, some omnivoire.
This is a philosphy question as there are a million different opinions out there. Some are vegies because of religion, some for moral reasons. There are very definitely ways to get enough protein. Search on the net.

I agree with what you are saying .The shape of the maxilofacial bones and the mandibles leads one to believe that humans are plant eaters. The required protein would have to come from nuts.
