Magazines say that it shouldn't be too hard to get your number or else the guy won't call, so what do you do when a guy asks for your number or gives you theirs?

Attractive to you I hope rather than in general. However asking for theirs is safer. Also call the next day.
I remember years ago I girl who had given me her number was shocked when I called her the next day and asked her out to dinner. She said guys never do that. My reply was not to would be rude. I still think that.

I would give an attractive guy my phone number, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting on him to call. If you have his number, and you want to go out, call him and make the plans. Don't play the waiting game.

give him ur number if ur interested if ur not say u have bf or ur not lookin.for one..watever u do don't give a guy a hotline, partyline, wrong number.etc..thats hella messed up mayne why do girls do that its the worst thing u could do ..n pay backs a *****.. u do that u gunna get the same sooner or later...i had that happen to me once when i was a kid n mayne did i feel like a adumb ***..not no more..im ****** pimp now don't fall for that **** no more...if anything ill get a number n if she seems kind weird i won't even call..or give them my number n let them call.. i only give my number if i knoe them n well kind trust my instincts..tooo

Always just take their number. Use a cell to talk to the person until they get to know him. Find out his address and phone number. Get confirmation of those numbers before you go out with him. Make sure others know the information and let him know that others are in the know. All for protection until you really get to know this person. Don't make any promises or tell to much about yourself until you have clearly identified this person and confirmed what you know.

I wait a day to call. I always get their number. I never give mine out. And I'm always act like i'm busy when I call them so it sounds something like this, " Hey' _______! How are you? I was just thinking about you and I just wanted to call and say hi but I can't stay long I'm actually gonna call you back lata. Just wanted to make sure that you didn't think I forgot about you. Oh, take my number just in case I forget to callback. Talk to you lata". If he calls back the same day that's a good sign. Always act casual about it. If you act really interested they tend to think they have all the power. And trust me they don't!

Yu have 2 choices - Give or not. It depends on what you might think of him and how he approaches you.
You should also get to know him a bit before you give out your personal information. Never give out PIN number, SS number or other personal information that could be used to steal your identity and provide access to your personal accounts.

If you want to give your number to him, give it to him. If he gives you his number and you want to call him, call him.
Also, if you give him your number that doesn't mean he HAS to call you, he SHOULD to be nice and civilized but he didn't sign a contract either. I know ladies hate reading this but some guys are real *ssholes and they don't call after getting a lady's number. Don't ask me, I'm a guy and it doesn't make any sense to me either.

If they're annoying, I give them Pizza Hut's number, the Time and Temperature hotline number, etc. If they're nice, I politely tell them the truth: I already have a boyfriend.

Give your number if he is someone that you are interested in. Phone calls are a great way to get to know someone.

when a guy gives me their number, if I like them, I will call and if I don't I won't... I don't give my number to random guys!!!
