our youth has became way to concern with losing weight. i babysat a few days back and i was learning things from a couple eigth year olds about weight loss and wieght gain and foods that affect it, that i did not know previously. ironically i asked how to maintain a wieght, they did not know how. til this day i still don't know how either.
Regardless, when i went home for thanksgiving dinner this last weekend i found myself reading all the labels aviable for each dish, i aslo found myself remembering what the magazines and kids have said in the past about the caloric and nutrious value of each holiday dish. It did not change any of dish selections for the meal. I enjoyed every dish i picked out and went back for seconds.
Before, the meal i drank green tea for it is known to boost metabolizm and i went walking for an half hour and cleaned up my apartment for an hour. After the meal i went walking and i helped cleaned up too. I figure i might as well eat what i want but increase my amount of excerise during the holidays and between each holiday meal, watch what i eat carefully to balance my caloric intake.
Like the youth, i don't know much about maintaing weight and i am concerned about weight loss and weight gain, but i am not going to worry too much. As they say forewarned is forearmed.

No. If anything, Americans aren't concerned enough with weight loss. That's why our health is amongst the worst in the world. Obesity is a serious problem, for kids and adults.

I haven't given in yet this year.......have still maintained high protein/low carb and avoided the turkey day desserts. I don't tell people I'm on a diet, this is my lifestyle.

in American a feast can be had any minute of the day. so it that aspect the "Holidays" are really no different then any other time of the year as there is always an abundance of food in our country. the numbers of overweight people in this country is a direct reflection of the average diet and level of daily activity.
not many people in this country actually deserve a feast during the holidays, they are already eating that way daily.

No, obviously not. If that was the case then 65% of Americans would not be overweight.
