For example when at work and a co-worker comes in and you want to switch to the desktop or some other application so they dont know what you were looking at????? Any help would be appreciated.

good day, you may use ALT then TAB button to switch faster to another program... so whatever your doing and someone comes will never see your stuff... ALT + TAB
another one is to press the WINDOWS button (the one with a windows drawing or sign in your keyboard) then D to be at the desktop.... WINDOWS + D
in a MAC computer u may press the APPLE button to be at the desktop and D.... APPLE + D
i also suggest that u open d MSWORD or MSEXCEL then maximize it so that when you use another program and try to hide something you may use ALT then TAB button to go back to those programs.

First, you got to watch doing anything at work that you shouldn't be doing. Just having a co-worker "see it" isn't the only way you can be caught (filters, system scans, network monitoring, etc...).
Second, to switch between applications without using the mouse, use the

alt and tab but people have already said that.....
u could also move the mouse cursor on the programe, pick up the keyboard and hit the keyboard on the left clicky thingy on the mouse?
