Does the ready boost feature in windows vista even do anything?. Do you need to have a large enough memory stick for it to even do anything?

The feature allows Vista to check the USB memory stick for speed and size and then it will ask you if you want to use it for the boost feature. I wouldnt worry about it unless you need the speed. I dont like the idea of leaving a USB thumb drive sticking out of my computer for a permanent memory solution.

Who knows. I won't use Vista because I think it's an unstable platform right now. I'm sticking with XP until they do stuff like make drivers for my equipment.

The improvement on speed with readyboost is almost zero.

The only way to get more speed is to upgrade your RAM amounts.
